I really like the title too, especially after Rachel decided to save Bass all by herself!!!

At least I hope she saved Bass all by herself.

Rachel is mixing something. And this was after she told the Patriots/Rangers of a possible jailbreak. Because she wanted to protect Charlie (and maybe Miles too). And before the Patriots/Rangers decided to kill Bass with a lethal injection, if I remember correctly.

It would be completely awesome if she had a plan way before Miles and Charlie go after her. So she would avoid Charlie (and Miles) being in danger for trying to help Bass.

I mean, as soon as Rachel sees the Patriots and the Rangers together, not killing each other. Being the brainiac she is, it would make sense if that's the moment she realizes she has no choice but accept the fact Bass can be very helpful and without him they don't stand a chance to beat the Patriots/Rangers.

It would be awesome.


Too bad Gene is a Patriot though. It will completely affect Rachel when she finds out about it. I won't be surprised if her paranoia goes to the highest level yet and she will start to believe everyone from Willoughby is a Patriot. You know, because Gene is like "The Godfather" of the place.

I think Gene will always put his family first anyway.

that was what I was wondering too, I didn't pick up that she was mixing something but I was curious as to how far ahead she had planned this. Especially if she tipped off that they were going to try and jailbreak Monroe, it seems like it could have been part of the plan! hopefully we will find out soon

That is very interesting, Cris! The idea that whatever Rachel was mixing was the thing that kept Bass alive. That would fit in very nicely about what was said about Rachel being ten steps ahead of everyone.

I'm still upset about Gene betraying them. I mean, the end part was kinda ironic, because in the end, it's still about family. Like Rachel, Gene did it to save his family. I liked Rachel and her dad together, but I think after this, Gene will probably be a goner, and I hate the idea of what it might do to Rachel. When Rachel had her mental breakdown, Gene was there for her. But now?



Also, I had a laugh at the re-appearance of Edmund Burke/Doctor Horn. The things he said and Rachel's reaction, it could've been LOST all over again. From his don't you remember me from long ago (anyone recall his exact words? they were perfect), how Rachel was a prom queen (which in my head, Juliet was a big fuss off and on island), and how he needs/wants the special things that Rachel/Juliet can do once more. And I think once more, he might get killed by Rachel, especially if Gene is offed. Maybe not by a bus, but it might be Rachel's doing.

I still can't believe they actually made Edmund Dr. Horn ask if Juliet Rachel remembered him.

I'm sure it was intentional. Of course, as a huge LOST fan and especially as a huge Juliet fan, I adored it.

I noticed the similarities too. Dr. Horn wants to explore Rachel's talents the same way Edmund wanted with Juliet. But at the moment, he seems more interested in Aaron and his superpowers. I also won't be surprised if Rachel is the one who kills him.




Rachel did say she saved Bass because they needed him. So maybe she was really planning to do it before Charlie and Miles talked to her. But she also said she did it for Charlie. And I believe it was mostly because of what Charlie said to her. You know, that's the moment she really decided to save Bass.

Which is awesome because it made their hug much more beautiful and meaningful. After Rachel tried to make amends with Charlie, she really deserved a hug. I'm so glad Charlie gave her one when she needed it the most.


I also think Gene's story is very similar to Rachel's. He is telling what he knows to the Patriots because he wanted to protect his family. And in the past he accepted their help to save people. So I believe Rachel will understand. She will be mad at first. But she will eventually understand his choices considering she also did the same thing.

I can see Gene sacrificing himself because he's full of guilty. It would be his way to make amends with Rachel (and Charlie).

Revolution likes to kill off some of the main characters, so I'm almost sure Gene is going to die in the season finale.

If he dies, maybe it will be a suicidal mission and Rachel will know beforehand about it, so she will be able to accept it more easily before it actually happens.

That's too much for Rachel anyway.

I mean Rachel hates him, but he is not like the Monroe we’ve grown to hate and you know, I have always had a hard time with the fact that he killed her son because he didn’t actually tried to just kill her son, so every time I say that, I am always like “You know he was really just trying to kill all of us.” See it’s much better, right? It’s not specific.David just looked like a little angel and made the whole thing so odd and weird. We all walked out of set and we’re all like “We like Druggie Monroe.” Because he’s interestingly neutralized, he just tuned into a really sweet guy.”

Back to Rachel and the last episode...

Do you think Rachel would have dropped the gas and killed Gene? I'm conflicted about it. And I'm mad that Miles was the one who stopped her. Miles (and the writers) said it was Rachel's decision to make, so I wanted to see Rachel herself deciding what to do instead of Miles deciding for her.

I want to believe Rachel wouldn't kill Gene. Rachel was blinded by anger and is always very focused on what she wants to do. And it's just like Gene said, she puts these blinders on and charges ahead, but I can't see her behaving this way to the point of killing her own father.

But I was glad that after Rachel talked with Gene and got to see that he regrets what he did and that he wants to help them all, Rachel decided to save him. In the end, it was Rachel's decision (with a little help from Charlie).

I really like Gene and I hope Rachel forgives him. I understand it's hard because he lied to her and made her think she was crazy, but all he did was to protect her. Now it's easier to understand his despair when he was talking to Rachel after she invaded Truman's office. Besides, if she can forgive Miles, she can forgive Gene, IMHO.

I have a feeling she wasn't...if anything I almost thought she was about to drop just one instead of both. She's always been the kind to just jump ahead once she has her mind set on it, but she was hesitating there with dropping the gas.
