I can't believe it was Thea. That totally blew my mind!
I really hope she finds out soon, either by the Arrow telling her, Oliver telling her or someone else. The way Roy freaked out when he thought he was the one- can you imagine how Thea would react?! __________________

I know! She's going to be shocked. I'm not sure she remembers she murdered a person. Because, it'd imply she's a murderer, and you all know have heard in this show how it changes the character's life when they realized they killed someone.
I want the Arrow to be the one who tells her the truth. Or maybe the Arsenal too . Thea may remember she killed someone but she definitely doesn't know that she was killing Sara. __________________

You think she just knows it was The Canary she was killing but didn't know who was behind the mask..
I knew from the moment Sara turned around before she got killed that it was someone she knew.. she was surprised at seeing them there.. but never would have guessed it would turn out to be Thea __________________

Exactly, that's why I can't blame her for murdering Sara.
Maybe Sara just saw Thea. She was surprised and she didn't react in a defensive way, because who would have expect the sister of your ex-bf and friend was going to kill you? Even Sara never knew Thea could have been trained by someone else, like Malcolm. __________________

Malcolm turning Thea into his personal assassin makes him a bigger creep than before. I thought he wanted to make amends for being a crappy father to Tommy and that he actually loved Thea. This says otherwise.
I liked Thea with Oliver and with the Arrow. Her sibling scenes with Oliver are always wonderful. She will be heartbroken when she finds out the truth. Liked her scene with Laurel which was very nice. Sad that Thea was brainwashed to kill Sara. I agree Sara was shocked at seeing her attacker and since it was Thea, she had no reason to be on guard from her ex boyfriend/friend's sister. Looking forward to see more of Thea. |

Malcolm's desire for self-preservation by whatever means necessary (which is what was clearly motivating his actions) doesn't necessarily make him a poor father. He clearly does love Thea (and tried to love Tommy), but he also clearly sees her as an asset.

He tortured her and manipulated her to kill someone so then he'd not have to worry about his own life while he doesn't matter if Nyssa realizes about it and goes and kills her. He knew Oliver was the one who loved her enough and then fight to death for saving her. Malcolm wasn't able to do something like Oliver did. I can't get the idea of him loving Thea, there are a lot of things that makes me think the opposite.

Malcolm is very much analogous to Lionel Luthor. You knew Lionel loved his kids (Lex especially), but he was also the kind of person who would, in the end, do all the wrong things - and use his kids as pawns - just to advance his own interests. There is love there in the Malcolm/Thea relationship, but it's not really a 'healthy' love.
I also firmly believe that Malcolm believed that Oliver was more than capable of killing Ra's and was fully expecting him to do so. __________________

So on a different subject, is anyone excited that Thea and Felicity will be spending time together in future episodes?

^I haven't heard of that but the idea sounds good.
Malcolm has beaten Oliver in the past, so I'd be not sure if he thought Oliver would have the ability to do that. Ra's was quite superior and it's understandable. After all, Malcolm never cared enough about him. Also he wants Thea just for him. __________________
