I'm not sure exactly what she means either but we all know he had issue he will never get to solve with is dad. He basically started a whole crusade also because of his own guilt for his father only to find out he wasn't the man he thought he was.

I'm a little sad the never found a way to develop more with William/Oliver before this last season. I'd have loved a little more bonding before William found out Oliver is the GA. It would made a better bit of parallelism between Robert/Oliver and Oliver/William.

Perhaps we will see some parallels in season 6. I guess the writers didn't want to include William to make S5 better. I would have liked to see him sharing more time with William during S4, though. I didn't see a strong bond between Oliver and him (in season 4).

Yea, I understood him not being in S5 until the end. That made since seeing has he and Samantha were in hiding.

I agree we needed at least a few more scenes with William in Season four.

Sorry just coming back now but kinda like what Slade told him in the finale about needing to forgive his father

So yea mainly first season was his cleaning up the city based on a mission his father tasked him than learnt that his father wasn't all that he thought he was think it was most developed in first 2 seasons - Moira advising their father wasn't a saint, he cheated on her or my memory is fuzzy on the season

So pretty much the coming to terms that he has had to do over the first 5 years, so I do feel 1-5 was "book 1" related to how the finale full circled and mainly on the quote that Slade said to Oliver
