he loves Oliver and admires him so him dying is sad on its own and for him to hear that Oliver wanted to save him probably makes him feel guilty.

Yeah. Like him telling Iris that "he can't die, not him". Just proves how much Barry cares about Oliver. I really wish we just had more crossover moments with them throughout the years.

Yeah all the others they had so many moments this one less than a handful

Mi did wish we had more actually Oliver and Barry moments but we had a lot of moments where Barry was clearly in pain over Oliver’s death

What sucks is there were only a few moments Arrow and The Flash crosses over on their own. Arrow started it all but The Flash was next and Oliver/Barry were the first/original Superhero friends. Really wish they would have interacted more, even a scene or two in more episodes per season.

When Barry first got his speed he came to Oliver to ask for advice. Oliver told him that the lightning chose him and that he could be better than him.

“Watching over your city like a guardian angel. Making a difference. Saving people...in a flash.”

He always believed in him. And Barry will never forget that.
