Yes she was in the remake of that
 . I haven't watched that as horror & I don't get along too well  I first saw her in Supernatural too. Then I saw her in Harper's Island, Taken, then Gossip Girl. Currently Melrose Place has finally started airing here (only one ep so far) so I'm watching her in that now too  .__________________

orginally I watched Nightmare on Elm Street for Kellan but he got killed off pretty early.

I don't watch it, but I just see it as some romantic teen show with vampires & werewolves born out of the fact that twilight was popular at the time
 . But I've never seen it so I probably shouldn't comment  .I've looked away while watching Supernatural so its borderline horror for me, but Katie was great in it. Season 3 is probably my favourite season of that, not sure if she has anything to do with that or not . I think if I tried to watch Nightmare on Elm Street I'd be looking away or hiding behind a pillow for most of the movie  __________________

Season four was my favorite. Personally I never understood...okay I knew why they did, but I sill thought it was silly the hate she got from the fandom.

I will never understand why women must get hate
 . They always do simply because some fans are too attached to the brothers. Its a pity too. Especially in the case of Ruby, as Katie could get hate from that simply because of that character . I appreciated what the character & Katie brought to the show.I don't see her as being a villain here, so that'll be a nice change for me too as she's mostly been a tad bitchy & villain like so far in what I've seen her in (other than Harper's Island anyway as she wasn't like that in there)__________________

Totally agree about that!
Yeah Katie seems to play the villain or mean girl kind of characters so it must be nice to find a strong female character that is outside of the box she's usually placed in. __________________

I believe a lot of woman in Supernatural gets hate, especially if they are/were the love interest of Dean or Sam

I look forward to seeing what this new character will be like. Strong female lead & not mean or bitchy sounds good to me
 . Those are always great character types. Yeah they do  . Its sad. I love Sam, but that doesn't make me want to hate Ruby or the two actresses who played that character just because she stabbed in the back so to speak.__________________
