Totally! Her character has changed a bit but I think she was one of the best things of Arrow, and made the season a really good one

I don’t think anyone expected caity to be so great and just embodied the role. It was really unfortunate for Katie. I think it made it even harder for her to live up the the canary role and then I felt they rushed her journey to appease some people. I wanted more with Nyssa and Laurel developing skills and such.

You are right. It was difficult to surpass her portrayal. Laurel needed more development, perhaps, before getting to it, but it made sense, all of it. And I think she was a pretty great Black Canary. Better than Dinah's
lol, now that I think, we didn't see Dinah (the mother) on the finale, did she die and I forgot about her death? Tell my I'm not THAT dumb

I still liked all three as BLack canary. I felt Laurel(Katie) was just really starting to come in and own the role when they killed her. Stupid writers. Still think Sara (Caty) will always be my favorite though. I love when someone unexpectedly just really embodies a role.

Yes, it was too soon to kill her. I have this feeling that they didn't want to risk to kill another one. You know, I think they had some kind of fanaticism on killing characters just for the sake of drama, to bring them back... with more drama
The good thing about Laurel is that she was close to be good as Sara. The angst of her journey was painful but the most interesting of the three canaries.
Dinah... well, I can't lie, I'm not a big fan, I just came to accept her. Maybe I wasn't open minded for a third canary. They messed up with killing Laurel honestly.
Sara also had the advantage to be the first, but even if we compare she was still the best imo.

Arrow did fall into the role of just killing characters to up the sense of anyone could die but really it wasn’t always needed
