1x11 Trust But Verify: Episode Dicussion
trust but verify TOMMY AND MALCOLM HAVE A HEART-TO-HEART TALK AND OLIVER AND DIGGLE ARE AT ODDS WITH EACH OTHER The next person on Arrow’s (Stephen Amell) list is Diggle’s (David Ramsey) commanding officer and mentor from Afghanistan, Ted Gaynor (guest star Ben Browder). Oliver suspects Ted is responsible for recent armoured truck robberies, but Diggle defends Ted and takes a job at Ted’s security company to keep an eye on him. Oliver decides to make a move on Ted, which puts him at odds with Diggle. Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland) suspects that Moira (Susanna Thompson) is having an affair with Malcolm (guest star John Barrowman). Tommy (Colin Donnell) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) have an awkward dinner with Malcolm. __________________

Well, the Digg storyline was too predictable to keep my interest at all - characters like his returning mentor are baddies in 95% of television episodes. We did get more attention to the romantic inclinations between him and Carly, though.
Thea was interesting. She was noticing things and being aware of things, but still barking up the wrong tree. I do wonder what Oliver makes of all this though - he plays it too inscrutably for me to tell. This is the first time we've seen her doing drugs with an emotional impetus instead of a "have a good time" impetus. And, of course, there's Tommy and his father. Still some interesting things to learn there. |

This episode was wonderful...as always.
The dinner that Tommy, Laurel and Tommy's father had was an awkward moment. Oliver and Digg having a disagreement...I saw that coming Thea in that car accident after takiing pills...predictable considering all she is going thru at the moment. All in all...a great episode. __________________

You could predict most of would was going to happen in it. With that said it was still a REALLY good episode & I enjoyed.
