I really enjoyed this episode mainly because a lot of stuff I had forgotten about was addressed.
I forgot that when Oliver downloaded the video his father left him there was one that said for Thea as well. I loved that came back into play. Also when I saw the promo for this episode I think I assumed it would be Olivers father in that box. I had forgotten about Ollies dad killing that guy in the factory. If I recall correctly I think it was a flashback in S2 with Moira and Roberrt when we learned about that. I think Malcolm used that has a way to force Roberrt into helping with the Undertaking. We got a Roy name drop. Once again loving Quentin/Rene. He was so disappointed when Rene didn't show up for the hearing. Made me sad. So setting up Kovar to be big bad next season possibly? I want Siren to be a villain that ends with redemption arc. Guess I'll have to wait and see. I loved the idea that Oliver wants to leave the past in the past and starting living for himself. Let's see if he actually does it. |
I really liked the episode. There were a lot of great things in the episode from Felicitys pep talk to Oliver to the Rene and Quentin scenes and I liked all the Thea/Oliver/ Robert stuff. It made for some really great brother/sister moments for the two of them. For sure !

The Thea/Robert/Oliver stuff made the episode. I agree. Plus at the end during the press conference when for the first time publicly without giving to much details... Oliver talks about his father sacrificing himself so he could live. That got me.

Good episode. I'm intrigued about what will be Chase's last step. I'm sure it will be related with William. Nice topic for the episode and great focus on Oliver. I'm impressed that he succumbed with what Oliver told him. Anyways, he's insane, exactly as Oliver and as Simon's father thought.
What will happen to Oliver with Kovar? So he didn't die after all! @Crystal now I wonder, who will be the next big bad? Anatoly or Kovar? I can't wait to know who! Or perhaps Black Siren? I wish Thea visited Roy. At least he was mentioned! Oliver still has him on mind. I don't think that what Robert did was too bad to consider him an evil man, it was an accident. The bad thing is that he hid it. In comparison to Moira, he didn't go too far. No Rene, why didn't you show up? :bawl: |
I just enjoyed this episode because you could see the flashbacks and the present all starting to come full circle with them bringing back a lot of stuff that hadn't been dealt with.

In general this episode slightly bored me with all the talk of the past and Olver’s father etc. I am also not the biggest Thea fan ever so I didn’t care about her return tbh. But I guess that was some nice sibling moments and throwbacks to the first season.
I loved the Olicity talk and how she convinced him to put the hood back on. They are so sweet together. Chase is a nutcase. But I did enjoy all the fight moments this episode, they were fun. Rene not showing up to the hearing was really sad. :( Dude, whyyy. |
