A FRAT PARTY AND A FLASHBACK TO 12TH CENTURY ITALY — Damon (Ian Somerhalder) goes with Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) to visit Whitmore College, where Professor Shane (guest star David Alpay, “The Borgias”) is taking over the Occult Studies classes formerly taught by Bonnie’s grandmother. At a fraternity costume party, Damon takes advantage of the wild scene to give Elena a lesson in choosing a victim. Rebekah’s (Claire Holt) attempt to buy Matt’s (Zach Roerig) forgiveness falls flat, but she is intrigued by unexpected news from Klaus (Joseph Morgan). When Stefan (Paul Wesley) questions Klaus about Connor’s (guest star Todd Williams) motives, Klaus reveals a long-ago encounter with a powerful group of vampire hunters, but it’s Rebekah who delivers the information that stuns Stefan.

I really enjoyed seeing the flashback and the Klefan scenes. Hopefully they can become friends again. BUT Klaus and Rebekah

I had to work tonight, so I have yet to watch the episode. Happy to hear we got flashbacks, and yay a Klefan scene!

Loved the episode

Some Klefan scenes was great, but I feelt so sorry for Rebekah

But Joseph looked good in this episode, do not know if it was the make-up or the hair but he sure looks good in that episode

Here are my thoughts on the episode:

I always love the flashback episodes where we find out more about Klaus and/or the Originals. This episode was especially great because Klaus, Stefan and Rebekah spent pretty much the whole episode together.
The attractiveness of Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah in the flashbacks made this my new favorite flashback episode.
I liked seeing Rebekah stand her ground against Klaus, even though I knew that she wasn't going to be able to deny Klaus what he wanted. Klaus on a mission is dangerous and he wanted to find the sword and to get the map to the cure. Nothing and no one was going to be able to stop him.
From Klaus' cruel words to Rebekah about how freely she had given her love and trust to suitors time and again, to his manipulation to get her to tell him the location of the sword and then Klaus daggering her, this episode hurt my Klaus/Rebekah heart.
Even though I definitely don't want Klaus to make any more hybrids (meaning I'm not going to be a fan of the cure storyline), I loved that Klaus and Stefan reluctantly became secret allies to get to the cure. This should be interesting to see them working towards a common goal.

Even though they had a horrible, awful father

it was nice that Elijah, Klaus and Rebeccah were close to each other then. It's just a shame that they aren't so much anymore

The bond the three shared back then was so lovely despite everything they always had each other

^ Those are my favorite flashbacks. I love seeing them as a unit, whether it's glimpses into their past or their present.

The bond within the trio is awesome! This episode is exactly what I imagine their bond to be. They stood together in the face of enemies.
