Thanks for the new thread.
I didn't care for Klaus this season... probably because I didn't care for Matt Davis portrayal. lololol

Elijah in season 2 was incredible. Easily favorite Original of the season.

Elijah is just pure perfect

I liked Klaus's storyline related to Katerina though

TFTNT!!

I hated Matt Davis' portrayal of Klaus It's nothing like the Klaus we know!! But I did love the 4 episodes we got to see Joseph as Klaus

^ It's amazing that Joseph got bumped up to series regular after this season. He only had four episodes but he did such a great job that TPTB couldn't just let him go. They just had to find a way to keep him around longer.

I totally get what you mean. I was pretty indifferent to Klaus in season two when I live-watched the season. He was just there for me. It might have been the fact that Matt temporarily played the character for a while before Joseph stepped in on a more permanent basis. Since I knew that he was the big bad, I just remember thinking that I was curious to see what he was going to do.

I felt the same way about Elijah, Tia.

True story.

That was a great introduction to the character. During my re-watch last year, I remember getting really excited for the episode where he showed up.

^ True story. For some reason, I was expecting an older gentleman to show up. Imagine my surprise and my joy when this beautiful man turned out to be Klaus.

^ Of course Klaus was going to turn out to be this beautiful man. CW shows are filled with beautiful people. I facepalm sometimes when I remember that I thought he would be an older gentleman.

^ Katherine is one of my favorite characters. Her appearances are always interesting. =p

In your opinion, after so much anticipation and build-up, does Klaus' arrival meet your expectations of the man?

Gotta say that I felt sorry for Mason Lockwood associated to everything - he didn't deserve what Katherine did to him and sucked he died did like when he came back during the "ghost" episode that he ended up helping Damon even after what Damon did to him

I'll have to get back to you but I do think that Klaus's arrival did especially what he did to Katerina plus what happened related to his obsession with the curse

^ Totally! I like Mason, especially when he keeps butting heads with Damon. As for the Katherine bits, it does suck how she uses him to get what she wants.

I look forward to that. I think the build-up for Klaus is done perfectly. TPTB teases us just enough to make us want to meet the man, and when he does show up, he's everything as advertised.

Season 2 was such a great season of this series.
This season also made it impossible for me to ever ship DE as well. ......... although I do wonder what would've happened with Damon/Katherine if Katherine wasn't all about Stefan.

Bonnie was bada$$ this season.

Didn't care for Klaus.

Loved Elijah!
