Description: DANIEL GILLIES DIRECTS THE EPISODE - After the devastating events of the previous episode, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) requests that his estranged siblings Rebekah (guest star Claire Holt) and Kol (guest star Nathaniel Buzolic) return home to stand by their family against The Hollow. Meanwhile, Freya (Riley Voelkel) recruits Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) for a dangerous journey that will put both their lives at risk - but may be the sole means of saving someone they love. Elsewhere, tensions rise when Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) leads a hunt for The Hollow - putting him on a collision course with the person he was least prepared to face. Finally, as Kol continues to mourn the loss of Davina, he is forced to consider the lengths he’d go to see her again. Daniel Gillies directed the episode written by K.C. Perry & Kyle Arrington

Daniel Gillies did a fantastic job at directing this episode. I loved Klaus’ speech to Elijah’s corpse at the beginning of the episode. No matter how long they have lived Klaus is not ready to say goodbye to his brother. (I'm not ready to say goodbye to Elijah neither)
I love that both Kol and Rebecca rush back as soon as they noticed the bodies dropping dead around them. At first I question how they knew it was Elijah then I remembered Klaus is no longer connected to his sire line.

Marcel is looking for a way to save Sofya from the hollow clasp on her. He's not willing to ask for the Mikaelson's help although Joss suggested he do so. Didn't Marcel make up with the Mikaelson last week? So why is he back to hating them this week?

Marcel failed at getting the Hilton's blood, but managed to get the white oak torn which supposedly have the hollow blood. Klaus wants to destroy it, Rebecca think they should let Marcel have it because he's doing it for love. I don't think this is going to end well. Klaus is right , they should have destroyed the white oak thorn, not hand it over to Marcel who had betrayed them once before.

I wish Rebecca would get over her feeling for Marcel because it clouds her judgment, and she makes horrible decisions whenever he's involved. I never got the idea that Marcel love her. I'm also surprised that he's in love with Sofya since their relationship always came across as business with benefits.



Freya sent Hayley into Elijah mind to find him. Freya went herself but then she couldn't keep the spell going. So in Hayley went. Did anyone notice that Hayley seem surprised that she found Elijah behind the red door, and shock that he didn't recognized her? Elijah didn't know Hayley back then so I do not know why Hayley was so shock. If Freya had found him the same thing would have happened to her. Freya sent Hope in to get her mother. It seemed that Hope's voice snap Elijah back to reality, and Hayley has to face the reality that Elijah is not a sweet little bunnies rabbit. Hailey,Elijah and Hope stood out side the red door looking like a family.
Kol finds out the link to the ancestors and went to see the harvests girls to talk to Davina. Why did Kol even think the harvests girls, or ancestors would help a Mikaelson? The Hollow was there to help,and she attached herself to Davina (never mind that she sounds like Davina)
She brought Davina back and she tells Kol he must protect her in order to keep Davina alive.

Kol is always going against his family. He should learn from the godfather's Fredo. Never go against family. It's not going to end well.

I do not think Kol will be the only one to betray the Mikaelson family. I think someone else might be working for the hollow:

Vincent:
We haven't seen Vincent since he requested his grimoire back from Marcel. We never did get to see the conversation he had with the hollow. Plus why did Vincent send Marcel to obtain the Hollow's blood when he know it's a suicide mission? Did he strike a deal with the Hollow?


Marcel: Marcel had encountered the hollow twice and walk away still alive. We are told that the hollow crave power, which is why the hollow followers wanted to sacrifice Marcel to the hollow, yet Marcel was able to walk away from the hollow with his life . So why didn't the hollow kill him? Did Marcel make a deal with the hollow?
