I thought I would be glad to see Davina, but I wasn't. However I am glad she's gone. I don't like hypocrite, and this show is full of them. Hailey,Elijah ,Vincent Marcel and Davina. They all have done horrible things to save someone that they have care about. Yet they view Klaus as the monster.
One character I was glad to see was Alaric. When he was coming to bring the bone to Klaus I glad he remembers the first rule of being a hunter. Which is always be prepared. So when Sofya stop him to try to intercept the bone. He was ready for her. He had pack his car with explosives just for times like this. Boom! Goodbye Sofya, for now. It was nice to see Alaric back in action. The only thing missing is Damon. When finally found out how werewolves were made, and a little bit more about Hayley werewolves lineage . They created the hollow, and the hollow created the werewolves curse. To think up untill now I thought they were made by witches. Marcel seem to have made peace with Mikaelson, and Davina 's death. Back to Davina. She told Hope and Hayley that she was going to help them defeat the hollow. However she first wanted to know where Kol was. She couldn't see him from where she was. So . I guess that means she only can see New Orleans. Davina admitted that she got Klaus there because she wanted to use him as the sacrifice to defeated the hollow. I knew that they should never had thrust Davina. Now I know why the witches didn't like her. She also admitted to unleashing the hollow. I'm not surprised by Davina. Nothing she does surprise me anymore. The only thing that surprised me was the fact that she thought she was going to get away with it. Not while their still a Mikaelson alive. Hayley had no luck in stopping her. Elijah offer up himself in place of Klaus. Even Marcel ask her to stop. Davila starting hurting Marcel. She needed his blood for the spell. Yes I wasn't please to have Davina back, but I glad Hope sent her packing. Hope is not going to let anyone hurt her family (which now includes Marcel) . Hope was able to sense that Klaus was in trouble. Is that her werewolves part? ,or vampire side? Idk , but what I do know is that the littlest Mikaelson is one powerful witch to be able to send Davina packing. She probably can defeat the hollow all by herself. Did the show just killed off another originals? It looks like they just killed off Elijah. Sofya/theHollow staked Elijah with a stake that was cover in white oak thorns. Could this be the end for Elijah? Could Marcel be next? |

^I actually liked seeing Davina. You are right that they are all hypocrites, including Davina. I do think she has good motives and a good point--that they do need a power source to defeat the Hollow and it would save countless lives. Klaus has already lived more than enough. In death she seems more mature, as though she is no longer primarily motivated by personal feelings, as she was in life. Indeed, she said it had nothing to do with revenge, and I believe her. It's like in death she is past all that. However, the question is: does the end EVER justify the means? I like that the show is asking those kinds of questions. I think Hope is the wisest of all of them when she said "You said you were going to help, but you're hurting!" Simple, but true way of knowing what is right and wrong. Maybe they all need to follow that.
I am still confused about Davina's death. I thought that she was dead dead and that no shred of her remained, so how could Vincent bring her back? How are the ancestors allowing her to move freely? I also like that the show finally seems to be settling upon Marcel's role in the show: he's basically a nice guy. He'd rather get along with people first before using force. For a while I didn't know what he was. In the beginning he was a villain, but then we found out he was protecting Davina. Then we found out why he often went against Klaus: Rebekah. This was all interesting. Since then, however, I've been confused about his place in the show and less interested in his character. I wish the writers and/or actors would do more with the part. Often it seems the writers keep trying to make him an antagonist to go against Klaus, but this never feels like it catches fire and feels instead lukewarm. At the end of last season they set him up as the ultimate villain by turning him into Lucien 2.0. I expected him to turn into an angry monster. However, angry as he was at Klaus, he never seemed that monstrous to me. He was more hurt, feeling betrayed by the family, and frankly somewhat justified in putting Klaus on trial for past horrible actions. Perhaps that's really what he is and what is his role on the show. He does try to live by some moral code. Maybe that's what differentiates some characters' morality over others'. At least some TRY to be good. Elijah used to try, but now he is completely ruthless, almost like a robot, almost inhuman. I like the talk between he and Marcel, where he indicates he can't forgive himself for what he did to Marcel. I like that there's still the old Elijah in there somewhere. I do think he remembers what it was like to be human, just that he feels he has to push it down in order to protect his family. He doesn't need to do so much for them--they are responsible for themselves, and as Hayley said--SHE needs him. He deserves to have a life too. I thought this was a great episode. LOVED that Hope got her witch on! (I think Hope was able to know what was going on because of her witch side--she could hear the ancestors.) So sweet that she defended her Dad. Thanks for opening Rocky! Not sure what's going on with The Originals threads but glad to see people here. (although it did seem that TVD's mods no longer liked the show much so that would stink having to have to monitor it.) |

I love that Hope was able to send Davina back. Davila was very powerful. If Hope was able to do that, then she must be very powerful. So the hollow killed Elijah. She is going to go after Marcel next. |

I doubt Elijah's dead--although why he wouldn't be, I don't know. Perhaps because like with Marcel's bite, you get sick and don't die instantly? Spoiler regarding next week's promo:

Marcel, Vincent and Klaus were my three favorite in this episode!
Vincent calling out Elijah. Marcel finally trying to forgive the Mikaelson, and more so Klaus and I feel Hope is a good reason for that. And Klaus just because. lol I felt this was a great episode and I really loved Marcel talking to Davina, and she being right there but Marcel couldn't see her. |
