^ Me too! There aren't very many characters that I love this deeply. Klaus grabbed a hold of me back in season two, and I've been under his spell ever since.

Klaus I always fall for the baddies but Klaus is truly epic

It hooks me everytime too as long as the actor completely owns it

I heard that Klaus cheated death on the show in seasons two and three. Joseph just made it really hard for TPTB to let him go...so they kept him around until the end of season four.

He was suppose to be killed off, but his popularity with the fans made them change their minds and write more for him and eventually give him a spinoff

^ Yes! We fell so hard for Klaus, and TPTB noticed. Our voices were heard and the character got more of a chance to shine. As happy as I was that he was around in season four, he didn't have much of a presence. He kept dropping in to cause a bit of trouble and to threaten the 'heroes' before he faded into the background...until the next time he was needed to play the villain. I can't imagine what TPTB would have done with him if the backdoor pilot hadn't led to the spin-off.

I agree, they would've either had them leave and then just drop in for a visit every now and then, maybe It's hard to say and thank goodness we didn't have to find out
