I did appreciate the fact that Kol managed to change Klaus' mind when Klaus was thisclose to daggering him again when Kol chose Davina over Klaus' interests. That showed so much growth in their relationship.

If Kol hadn't fought to avoid the dagger that Klaus was intent on using on him, then Kol would have been daggered just like the other hundred times he was daggered by Klaus' hand.
