I'm glad they were able to move past it too and they did such a wonderful job related to Cami overpowering it herself and showing how strong she was

Did you notice the breadcrumbs that TPTB dropped in What, Will, I, Have, Left? There were a few mentions of Cami, but this quote...

^ That was the episode where Hope brought up Cami, right? She brought up the memoirs, and said that he compelled Cami to write his story. That was a lovely breadcrumb.

5x06 all of those mentions from Vincent related than finding out that Delcan is related to Cami that broke my heart to pieces when Vincent found that out

Vincent had a point BUT Ivy was right no way to know if she would have had a better life or not

Plus what she found about her family after Father Kierran died I think no matter what she was destined to be involved - Plus the witches would have maybe done worst cause look at what happened to her Twin

^ That's very true. I guess Vincent thinks that being part of the New Orleans' supernatural community is dangerous for civilians/humans who don't have an edge, like being a witch or having possession of dark objects, etc.

Oh, yes. I think the journey would have been different but the destination would have been the same. Even if she had been completely unaware of the supernatural aspect of New Orleans, her family's legacy would have pulled her in. And if you consider how drawn Klaus was to her from the beginning, I think she would have eventually found her way to him.
