Klaus' connection with Elijah showed how much he relied on him, and how much he needed him to stay sane and balanced. And the same could be said about Elijah's connection with Klaus. Yes, they were close with their other siblings, but it wasn't the same closeness that I saw with Klaus and Elijah.

^ Me too. We saw how Elijah was just as capable of wreaking havoc as Klaus was. I wouldn't have wished the double dose of terror on any town.

Do you think they had a balanced dynamic ( i.e. they kept each other from going too far down a dark path), or do you think one of them had to work harder to make sure they didn't lose their brother?

^ I think so too. There was no doubt that Elijah put in a lot of effort to keep Klaus from going too far, but there were still plenty of moments where we saw Klaus pull Elijah back from losing himself too.
