Roxy hasn't been here in a long time, but I'm sure one of the mods can add you.

I didn't hate her like so many Marvel fans did, but I wouldn't miss her either. |

Thanks for posting. We've known for awhile now that she wasn't going to be coming back but I guess they just wanted to release an official confirmation.

I'm going to miss her in Thor 3 - I've liked her since the first one.

There was a quote in one of the recent interviews that they (the studio) wanted to see Thor with someone who was his equal and I was just aghast. Just because Jane wasn't a fighter lor immortal doesn't make her less of a person than Valkyrie.

Yeah, that's not cool whatsoever to me.
The thing I liked about Thor and Jane is that they were different from each other, while still being independent and Jane was capable and intelligent and isn't somehow "lesser" than Valkyrie and Sif in my eyes because she isn't Asgardian or immortal. I can't say much of Valkyrie because I want to wait and see the movie, but I know a lot of fans of the Thor movies would've rather he was with Sif than Jane, and I couldn't disagree more with that. I like Sif, but with what we see of her in the first two Thor films they're too similar to be interesting to me. Jane was an awesome character in the first movie - she just got less to do in the second. IMO, she's very underrated, and of the non Avengers female characters, she ranks near the top for me. __________________

I didn't even know she wasn't in it. I really liked them together. However since the Thor movie she has been really underused. I wonder what reason they have for her to not be there?

I don't think she was too excited to come back for another movie - I know she wasn't happy when Patty Jenkins was "let go" from The Dark World.
I think she jumped on board originally for Kenneth Branaugh (sp?) and probably the way they pitched her character in it - she got good material in that film. TDW might have been a let down for her. __________________

What I don't get is why, if the wanted to get rid of Jane and get Thor another love interest, they couldn't put him with Sif, who's his other love interest in the comics, going back decades on decades.
Jane Foster in the comics is not a very interesting character. It's only Natalie who's made her interesting. __________________

I feel like Sif was grossly misunderused too. And Thor basically friendzoned Sif in TDW in that one scene.

I liked Sif's part in the first movie, but she and the Warriors Three were big time underused in the second.
