Does anyone know if Kat's returning? Because Josh had to pull out of the project because of shooting so I'm hoping her schedule with 2BG gives her enough time... I'm guessing Darcy will be in the sequel .

She was asked a couple of times by media people and said that she isn't allowed to say whether her character will return or not, yet, but she knows.
My guess is that if Darcy wasn't returning she would simply say so, and the secrecy is because she is indeed part of the project, but who knows.

I liked Darcy's scenes in the first movie, but I'm not particularly attached to the character (unpopular opinion, I know ).

Thank you for the infomation. Hopefully she'll return because she had some funny moments in the first film. I'm still bitter that Josh had to drop out because he seemed so excited for #2.

I can imagine how bummed he is, especially now that the success of The Avengers must have increased the interest about the upcoming solo movies even more.

I don't like recastings, but I like Zachary Levi (and he, too, missed a chance to play Fandral the first time around because of schedule conflicts), so I'm trying to look at the bright side, even though I did like Josh's Fandral and sad for the actor.

THOR 2 PLOT

The plot in Thor 2 will have a more Viking-influenced feel, where the Norse mythology grew from. The story is picking up from where it left off in terms of Jane, who was only seen for a moment on a computer monitor in The Avengers, and also what’s been going on in the Nine Realms without the Asgardians being able to use the Bifrost. And while Loki has a part, there will be a different villain, another big villain in Thor 2.

As you're someone who really gets Thor it's interesting to hear your take on it Fran! I am definitely more enclined to watch it and in fact I had a attachment to Loki as well as I didn't think he was a bad guy per say. I mean I understood some of his actions knowing his backstory.

I sure hope Kat Dennings will return as Darcy, I adore Darcy, she's basically my spirit animal because seriously, tasering a Norse god is enough to put her on the top of my "OMG you're perfect" list life will be disappointing if Darcy isn't back to taser more Asgardians!

Wasn't there the rumour about The Enchantress being in the squeal? So I wonder if she'll be good or bad. Since in the comics her character had seductive streak and a dark side, but for a short time appeared as an love interest to Thor rather than a threat.
