I'm going to read the Thor comic over the weekend! I need to get started on my Marvel Civil War reading first.

At this point, it would seem unlikely. They would have to come up with one epically good excuse for him being nowhere to be found until the third/fourth movie.

I guess Tyr was easier to introduce later in the game because he is less close to the core characters in the comics.

I think it is reshoots we remember she was out for what 5 weeks due to injury .so good chance she is in front of green screen to add her into the scenes they shot when she weasn't there

I think this too. Her injury was pretty bad so I could see them shooting her scenes now that shes better.

You're right! It's likely most of what they are reshooting/enhancing are the scenes Jaimie couldn't be in when she was healing.
My mind had gone to the whole director feud about the run time, thinking they might be planning to film some stuff again to fit into the shorter edit of the film, oops.
