Once they finished princable filming the director and head of marvel movies saw that Loki needed more screen time . Comic Con reaction proved they where right . They saw all the Loki craze , knew , fans agree added focus solo was needed. We forget Jamie got hurt missed 5 weeks of filming . Zach Levi, fandrel didn't have a lot of major screen time ..

It may not be doing phenomenal numbers like the Iron Man movies, but it's pretty damn good.

Nobody expected a 100 million weekend . But once Monday holiday is added plus actual box office totals Tues , Thor will be very close .
Thor 2011 Opened at 65 million.

Perhaps the important data to check is if the BO increase from Thor to TDW is the same as the one between IM2 and IM3. They both had TA results as extra boost. TDW did over 20 million more than Thor, How much bigger the opening of IM3 compared to the second movie?

Now reading that it is possible the final weekend Box Office could be higher ! If Thor goes above 88 million it will pass 007 open !

One common theme is Marvel shouldn't wait on a Loki film ! Perhaps after Avengers 2 , it could be set ! As for the theme anyone's guess ! I think a Loki film could lead into Thor 3? Main question is the availability of all the actors!

Yes IM 2 was abot 28 million higher then IM open, then IM 3 made 46 million more in its open then IM2
