I had read that but thanks for the refresher. How many things from a weekend (long-weekend) can fill up 22 episodes. Maybe if it was a shorter season but even that's a stretch.

I think they are going to put some flashforwards as well (and also flashbacks?)

but that won't fill up entire season so idk.

Even though I'm a Barney/Robin shipper, I care about Ted. I want to see him with the mother, see the chemistry and I want to ship them. But no, they're going to meet in the last episode

Wasn't one of the reasons for a S9 to spend time with the mother? Not just meet her... or am I making that up.

But how are the viewers ever supposed to grow to love her if they only meet her at the end? That just befuddles me. Hearing things about her and Ted is a lot different than seeing her and Ted together.

She's going to be at the wedding, they said she's going to interact with Barney, Robin, Lily and Marshal, but she's not going to meet Ted until the end.

That's the point, Natasha. If they only get to meet at the end, they should have done that in the season 8 finale. I only wanted a 9th season to see them dating.

Ugh I don't want to think about it. The whole season being just about a weekend gives me headache

But I guess they will probably let Ted meet her in mid-season and then have a little bit of time together for half season.
