I'm two episodes into AoS now, and have a few thoughts to share on Episode 2:
* I understand that the team needed a 'coming together' story, but it really should've been part of the Pilot

* I'm not completely unspoiled for either this series or the wider MCU, and what I know is making it harder for me to buy into one particular member of the team

* Despite being the only previously-seen character in the show, Coulson is the least interesting of the group, and the heavy-handed emphasis on what actually happened to him and what he doesn't know isn't working

* Skye and FitzSimmons are the best characters even after only two episodes, and the unresolved sexual tension between the latter pair is highly noticeable even though the show hasn't yet gone that direction with their interactions

Yeah, I've gone back and watched a couple of the earlier episodes and knowing what I do now compared to then, I'm seeing little things (like mannerisms and such) that make me wonder why I didn't question him sooner.

It's been a while since I've watched the entirety of the first season, but I'm thinking they did that on purpose. It'll be mentioned a few more times in passing (in various ways) but it won't become a 'thing' until at least half way through the season.

I miss Skye and Fitzsimmons, like how they were then. As for the Fitzsimmons, I didn't notice it. I mean I liked the closeness of their friendship, but I didn't see a romance blossoming. Because during season 1, I was all about the Skyward.

To clarify part of what I was talking about, Ii'm struggling to buy into the way that a certain character has been portrayed in the first two episodes given what I know about said character's future.

IOW, it's hard for me to buy into the idea of said character being portrayed as the straight-laced 'by the numbers officer' the show's early writing is trying to sell them as.

I don't dislike the character I'm referring to; I just don't buy the way they're written through the first part of the season in light of something that I know happens to them later on in the season.
