Online. Comics aren't very expensive per se, but with so many issues and different heroes, it can get expensive pretty quickly.

Nowadays they do sets of comics into one hardback - I find that better for me, as I dont want to keep buying individual copies

It depends. Some collect 40 issues and some collect 80 issues. Some collect less than 40 and some collect more than 80. The more issues an omnibus collects, the more it usually costs.
