Not surprised by this news.
They're doing what I expected - I'm betting Punisher and Jessica Jones are done after their current seasons air, too. I'm not happy about this. I'll especially miss Daredevil, Punisher and Jessica. I love Bernthal so much as Frank Castle that I doubt another actor will ever grab me in the role. He was such perfect, perfect, casting. I love Ritter as Jessica, too. Though I liked everyone on Daredevil, I'll miss Karen the most. And I'll miss Kastle most of all.  __________________

Even if they wanted to, I'm sure the contracts would be an issue. Netflix has ownership of those shows; they would probably have to be bought out by Disney.
I hope the upcoming Jessica and Punisher seasons have somewhat of an ending to them... __________________

I'm guessing they'll announce The Punisher's cancellation right after it releases or something.

They were bloody great. I'm pissed off with both Disney and Netflix over this. I hope people are right when they say the next seasons of Jessica Jones and The Punisher are too far along in production to be dumped now, so that we'll at least get those before this all ends. First DC drops its dark-style, epical-flavour superhero films, then Netflix Marvel goes, and Deadpool is transitioning into a PG13 franchise. Superhero material to my taste is vanishing quick. At least Infinity War was a bit more on the grand and serious side than the usual light Disney Marvel fare.
