Well, he's talked about someone dying in AoU. Everyone is speculating that it is most likely Hawkeye.

Typical - they expand his role just before they off him.
One one hand, he would be the predictable/logical option because all the other characters are somehow bigger in the MCU. On the other, Whedon doesn't like being predictable. What about Hulk? Dying right when he's found his peace would be super painful... which is something Whedon loves. The way Feige has been talking about Bruce Banner makes me believe they would never get rid of him now that he's finally a fan favorite, though. __________________

The only other option I see is Steve to pave the way for BuckyCap if they don't want to go the Civil War route. No way are they killing Iron Man, their biggest hero or Black Widow, the only female on the roster so far. Besides, Joss deems her too important to his movies. Or it will be one of the twins.

Turns out that the gun Sharon shot him with was a special gun which sent him into another dimension where Red Skull was dogging his every move. So he was dead, but not really dead.

That... is way too out there for the movies. And would feel Coulson 2.0. That said, I reject the idea of Steve dying so I'll take the fake killing scenario, minus the alternate dimension, maybe.

I guess if it's any consolation for Steve, at least it happened to him in the comics first.
 I wonder if Sharon's brain ever hurts from all the brainwashing that has happened to her. |

If TA3 and his involvement weren't already confirmed, I would've said this was their chance to write RDJ's exit in. Would they ever kill off Fury? He is not an Avenger, but perhaps the terms is to be taken as vague. __________________

I don't think they will. SLJ is the only one with a 9 movie deal and probably one of the few willing to keep going as long as he can.
