I know almost nothing about the GoTG stories so I'm going to have to so a bit of reading on the Marvel wiki before the movie comes out.

I don't know a single thing about it. Torn between going into the movie without any preparation (it worked great with Thor and Cap, after all) or get some knowledge so at least I know who is who, lol.

I thought it was confirmed by James Gunn that there was not going to be a GoTG trailer for the Super Bowl? Maybe something changed.

It was around Jan. 10th? He sent a tweet saying

Everyone took that to mean that we wouldn't see one until March or April.

One of his next tweets was this:

Maybe James thought there was no chance he was getting one? Silly man, don't you know Marvel usually releases the first teaser/trailer about 6 months before the movie is set to release?

I seriously doubt Marvel would have waited until April to roll out the trailer. That would only give them 4 months to give us a teaser, two trailers, and all the promotional pictures and tour. Not that I'm complaining.
