Thanks for the info Nat. I don't watch Sherlock (obviously) but she's still not familiar to me - I don't think I've seen her in anything.
Emma stop!!! You are killing me!!!! Actually, no, don't stop. More Tom/Kat! More!!!!!!!!!!!! __________________

I'm going to stop now I just have a lot of Tom/Kat feelings suddenly just now
Now that's really a good reason for Darcy to be back in TDW __________________

Great post, Mee!
We got lucky with Loki because while other villain characters had tragic events contributing to make them become what they become (I think Red Skull's comic book backstory involves a very difficult childhood, for instance), it doesn't happen often to see said backstory explored in the movie-verse, and the character's feelings addressed the way they did with Loki. The first Thor movie was as much his story as it was Thor's, and it had such poignant moments, that it was really hard not to sympathize with his emotional situation. Feeling rejected, not good enough, and betrayed by the people closest to us are things all of us can understand or relate to. __________________

Kristine Invite us to the wedding, yeah?
I agree with your post Fran. I guess it make Loki seem more real as a villian, very often we only see the villian from the perspective of the hero, so we don't get the chance to emphasise. __________________

Exactly, we got to see things from his perspective. He was first introduced as an antagonist rather than a villain, which allowed us to know different layers of his personality.
And then of course Loki could count on Tom's puppy eyes, which upped the drama and heartbreak of several degrees. __________________

Yeah usually you instantly grow dislike for the villian but I like that we really got to know Loki as a person. I found myself really intrigued by his story.
