Wow, was not expecting this news. I know Derrickson really wanted to make the second movie more horror themed, but I guess Feige and Marvel weren't down for that.

I hope he can come back cause that connectivity and keeping the same directors usually helps (just like when they fired James Gunn before rehiring him) but if not, I'm sure they will find someone else to do the movie justice. Joss Whedon did the first two Avengers films, then they had the Russos do the last two so they know what their doing lol. Still looking forward to this movie.
