He has been crowned the highest-grossing actor of all time by the Guinness Book of World Records.
So Hollywood star Samuel L. Jackson knows exactly what's sure to be a hit - and is so keen on a kung fu movie he's even put his name in front of it.
And the 64-year-old star loved Hong Kong film The Grandmaster so much that his name is now in the title.
After being left 'mesmerized' by the movie at the New York premiere on August 13, Jackson joined legendary director Martin Scorsese in taking up an official supporter role.
The latest kung-fu movie import hitting American theaters is described as a love letter to the man who trained Bruce Lee - and is already inspiring a new generation of kung fu lovers.
Directed by Hong Kong auteur Wong Kar Wai, The Grandmaster is loosely based on a true story about Ip Man, the martial artist who taught a young Bruce Lee the fundamentals of Wing Chun kung fu.
And now, with their support, the film, distributed by The Weinstein Company, will be released with the title declaring: Martin Scorsese and Samuel L. Jackson Present: The Grandmaster.
The movie stars Tony Leung, Ziyi Zhang and Chang Chen and Jackson said: 'The Grandmaster is a wild ride and an expertly crafted martial arts film.
'I was blown away by Tony Leung and Ziyi Zhang’s performances, and needless to say by Wong Kar Wai’s direction; he’s a living legend who I’ve admired for ages, and it’s a true honor to lend my support alongside Martin Scorsese.'
Weinstein co-chairman Harvey Weinstein added: 'To have such names as Wong Kar Wai, Martin Scorsese, and now Samuel L. Jackson behind this release is an astounding show of prestige and a dream come true, to say the least.
'I stand with Wong Kar Wai in stating that we are beyond thrilled to have Sam's support.'
Jackson has appeared in well over a 100 films and is one of the most iconic stars of our time.
His credits include include movie hits Jurassic Park and Pulp Fiction and he has grossed a massive $7.42billion during his career.
While he enjoyed a number of small roles on films he found critical acclaim for his role in Jungle Fever in 1991.
Since then he has gone on to work on an average of three and four films a year and he doesn’t look to be slowing down any time soon.
Last year, he appeared in Oscar nominated film Django Unchained and speaking about his work ethic Jackson told CBS: ‘I grew up in a working class family.
'When I was a kid, all the adults in my house got up and went to work every day. I assumed that's what grown people do. That's what I do. I just happen to have a very interesting job that's kind of cool.'
