I agree, I think the fact that Gamora was probably the first woman Peter couldn't seduce straight away was at least 1 of the reasons why Peter was so fascinated and captivated by Gamora there's just something about people who are more difficult to sway that makes them more interesting, by the time Peter saw Gamora for the very first time, he fell for her and boy did he fall hard for her!

it was...from the beginning it was obvious that Peter had feelings for Gamora, but it wasn't clear whether she had the same feelings for him, and that scene basically confirmed that she does indeed love Peter the same way he loves her Even though it wasn't an obvious direct confirmation until Infinity War, and those who haven't watched the GOTG movies or haven't paid close attention probably would've missed the message of that significant Starmora scene, but for those who have watched the GOTG movies and have been paying attention, we all knew that scene was the first confirmation of Starmora's love for each other

I don't think they necessarily "didn't want to do anything with each other" in the beginning, well Gamora definitely seemed to resent that she got stuck with this group, she called them the "biggest idiots in the galaxy", she definitely acted cold towards them in the beginning. But I don't think Peter necessarily felt the same way about Gamora, I mean sure they fought each other over the orb containing the power stone when they first met each other, but I think by the time they first met, Peter was already fascinated by Gamora and throughout the first movie he tried to woo her and win her affections, and he continued to do so in GOTG2. So I get the impression that Peter never disliked Gamora, he was always fascinated by her from the very beginning and he fell in love with her very quickly. It just took longer for Gamora to feel the same way about Peter.
