In the comic book series, Thanos' snap affected the entire Universe. Only, it wasn't the Infinity War when he snapped his fingers. Of course, this actually happened - in the comic books - in The Infinity Gauntlet - and not The Infinity War.
Nonetheless, "the snap" affects the entire Universe.
