They missed the chance to get it there so that's why they went to the 70s to get it from there and also more Pym Particles.

So the writers and the directors contradicting each other about Steve's ending and time travel in general tells me that no one knows what the hell they were doing when this was being filmed. No wonder it all feels like a cluster*uck. Everyone has 100 theories about what happened, but there is nothing definite. Did no one talk to each other?

Also, all this talk about Steve being a man out of time? Helloooooo????? Did people all of a sudden forget about Bucky? Yes, Steve's story is tragic, but Bucky's even more so. Steve at least had friends to help him along the way, but Bucky has only ever been a prisoner and a tool to be used. So Steve didn't want to live in the present anymore and took the first chance he got to go back to the past. Bucky didn't get to make that choice and now he's stuck in the present without his best friend by his side. I guess till the end of the line didn't matter much anymore. At least he'll have Sam, who has done a lot of work with PTSD victims.

And that is why I didn't like Steve's ending. It didn't make sense with who he was as person but also as a soldier. And it didn't make sense at all for him to go back to Peggy. Because if he created another timeline. He wouldn't been able to sit at the bench at the end giving the shield to Sam. He wouldn't be there at all. So with this, he messed up the future. He made it so Peggy wouldn't marry the husband she was suppose to do. She wouldn't get the children she was suppose to get etc.

And thb this is the only part I just didn't like. Everything else made sense of why it happened. I mean, I hate and still cry over Tony. That we won't be seeing him anymore and it hurts to know that. But that did make sense for him to do this so everyone else could live.

yeah im so confused with the timeline with peggy/steve im happy he got a happy ending though but it doesnt make sense timetravel wise

The time travel wasn't really confusing imo, several characters explained how it worked throughout the movie. They created several alternative realities by going back. They didn't change their timeline because they didn't affect what already happened since you can't change the future by going to the past.

stay at home, and work at S.H.I.E.L.D. is an adventure. Maybe, but I think it's ironically hilarious that the directors&writers don't agree with each other about the time travel.

I saw someone mention from the tweet about how the writers/Russo bros did w/ women and they should say it bec they are right bec why in the hell that they dust Shuri bec if she wasn't dust, I'm sure that she would find more safest way to save everyone who used the stones to save themsleves from it.. Or why not CM used it since she's binary?!?!? Since I read both of their interview that they wasn't sure that CM wasn't strong enough.. I was like.. Even tho I understand that they want to focus on O6, but still..

It's not about what people get confusing about time travel, but it's about contradict from their saying (writers/Russo bros say) bec so far, I see what they saying then they saying another thing.. It show that they are truly have no idea about time travel..
