 I don't read the comics and spoilers so I was actually expecting a happy ending in the movie when I was watching Captain America  __________________

Aww, that's too bad Emma.
 I've read the comics so even though I loved this incarnation of Peggy, I was able to take the ending of the movie without too much wailing. |

Did Steve lose Peggy in the comics like what happened in the movie as well?

Well, they met and then were separated by the war doing different missions. She got captured and suffered amnesia. When she heard about about Cap "dying" she went into shock and withdrew from the world. The doctors feared for her safety so they didn't tell her about Cap's comeback. She started recieving treatment from Dr. Faustus, who was a criminal. After Cap came back, he was able to rescue her and others from Dr. Faustus. They tried to see if a relationship would work, but soon realized that they were better off as friends rather than lovers.

 Glad that they didn't touch the amnesia in the movie. I'm a sucker for amnesia plotlines XD I'd bawl my eyes out even more  although their ending in the movie seems to be sadder __________________
