Saw the movie last weekend, read the book Friday after. The movie followed the book so closely that it made no real difference.
In a way, I'm glad I saw the movie first. There was no disconnect between my imagination and the film's visuals.  I'm cooking a jambalaya dinner for my sons today. Having a good, chilly day for it.  __________________

The only similarities between The Martian and Interstellar is space suits and Matt Damon stranded alone on a planet.
imo, The Martian is a much better movie and more comprehensible. Read it! See it! It doesn't matter which you do first. Pari, Hamlet tonight!  Are you going with a friend, or alone?__________________
