At the moment it's Moriarty. I've always had a thing for the bad guys and he is great as a bad guy. He is scary, brilliant, funny and gogerous.

John, without him nothing would have happened, we would have never known of a certain Sherlock Holmes and much less how them together made themselves and everyone around them change and be who they are; perfect.

Yay! Mofftiss and Andrew certainly brought Moriarty to a new lever on Sherlock. Like they did with every character from the original stories, actually.

I really enjoyed the portrayal. I had nothing to compare Andrew's performance to so that helped quite a bit.

Not to be cliche, but I honestly like Sherlock the most. I admire his intelligence and the way he's so blunt with everyone is entertaining. I also like how withdrawn he is from the world.

Even before the Steven Moffat version, I've always enjoyed the character.

I love the fact that Sherlock is so blunt. It caught me off-guard at first but it's great to know exactly what he's thinking because you don't get a lot of that in real life.

^ I agree. It's refreshing and entertaining how inconsiderate he can be.

Like in Hounds when Sherlock was thanking Henry for this great case, while Henry was pretty much just recovering from a mental breakdown.

I was looking for another thread and I stumbled on this one... Oh, a chance to blabber about Sherlock. I can't miss it, can I?

My favourite is Sherlock; often I tend to like secondary characters more but in this case I really can't help it. Sherlock has such a presence, he dominates the scene, always.
Half the time I'd kick his ass, but I have to admit, his analitical mind and his attitude makes my brain go faster. He makes me speak to the tv screen like a mad person "don't say it, please don't say it, you said it!" which is even more crazy considering the fact that I already know what he will do and say, still he provokes my reactions and it's kind of fun. It feels all very real.
I like his boldness, his beautiful brain, and that childish-like ways he somehow has. When he told Molly that Jim was gay and to "spare herself the pain" he had a look quite similar to sincerity, and I think that in his own way he was concerned and he was trying to protect her. He's not very conventional, he is never boring and he has a good heart, despite what he might think, he just never thought that it could be used for anything.

Sherlock-b/c Benedict Cumberbatch...no...well that's part of it! I feel like I can relate to Sherlock....seeing things differently then the people around me, the not really having any close friends (well in his case he has John...I wish I had John! ) I feel like Sherlock has always been a character that takes responsibility for his actions and has always put what he believes in first.
