Actually its been said in interviews that even for newbies it will be enjoyable. For that it would need more than just action to be memorable.

No, it has actually a very good story. I'm a Trekkie and was actually very satisfied with how the movie was written. It has a lot of action but also lots of humor. And lots of Benedict. In 3D!!!

Definitely! I forced my best friend to watch it with me and it was the first Star Trek movie for her. She loved it. (And not just for Benedict as she doesn't think he's hot. Don't know what's wrong with her.)

And I do think he is hot so there's a chance I might even like it more than her, awesome

It's just that the cinema is so expensive and I wouldn't wanna watch a movie I only watch for one actor there.
