I haven't even attempted reading Sherlock fanfiction, because I just don't see anyone being able to get the character voices right...especially Sherlock's

Finding good fanfics for Sherlock is difficult because the characters are so complex

I believe for those two it must be even harder because in addition to being complex characters they also have a complex relationship...

And not really a lot to go on as far as their past. The only thing I know for sure is that Mycroft very much acts the big brother and Sherlock turns into a Two Year Old Throwing A Tantrum whenever Mycroft is around.
