Who did you side with, Tom or Summer? I'm one of the few people who were on team Summer since she told him upfront she wasn't looking for anything serious.

I think I watched this movie twice. But both times will be a very long time ago already

But I think I was on Summer's side, but also understood his side.

A lot of people sided with Tom and didn't like Summer. Joe said he was surprised people liked Tom as much because he wasn't supposed to be likeable and they wanted to highlight that his behaviour wasn't cute.

I've never seen the movie but from what I've read about it, I think his character was probably hoping that eventually Summer would change her mind and just went about it in a not so good way.

That's definitely what he though but that meant that he didn't listen to her. She told him from the beginning that she didn't want a serious relationship but he chose to ignore it.
