I sang, danced, and acted for nursing home residents and for a church. I have been singing and acting since I was 2-3 years old, but I haven't done anything in public in years.

When I was in the theater group before I had to quit, the new director told my ex-husband that he couldn't sing he screamed (He was/is) into heavy metal and learned to sing that way. My late mother in law was told that she needed singing lessons because she couldn't carry a note. She went to one and they gave her the money she paid them back and told her that she was unteachable. I was the only one that could sing and she threatened to stab me with me a knife, so my ex made sure that she calmed down before I came out from under the bed; about 2 hours under there. She apologized for her actions.

Yes for real, she was mad because I can sing and she couldn't. The night that we were told that they couldn't sing, before the lessons attempt, it was a long and quiet ride home. I did get dirty looks and yelled at.
