We've all been working towards this milestone together for such an incredibly long time, and it actually feels weird to finally reach it. :D I know the board already had 50K posts, long long ago, and to know that we managed to do it a second time is amazing. To know that we spent 50K posts talking about this tiny show fills me with pride and joy, and it should do the same to all of you.

A giant thank you to everyone who has contributed to this milestone in any way - be it through hundreds of posts or just one. Every single post mattered, and Sheida and me are truly grateful and proud to have reached this milestone now.

...okay, enough with the talking... let's celebrate!! :party: :blinkie:

What happened to the first 50,000 posts? Did the forum crash? Or were they deleted by forum management?

Finnegan - well, from what Ive heard the server crashed a few years ago and this caused quite a lot of the posts and threads to be deleted, a lot of boards had to star over I think, I wasnt here then though so ... Anja knows more :lol:

Finnegan, there was a server crash in 2005 (?) where we lost a lot of posts and a server move/software change (I think?) in 2003/2004. There might've been another crash before 2003 as well, I don't know, that was before my time ;) If you go to the last page of the board, you'll see that the oldest threads we have here are from 2004, but the board has been around since before the show aired in 2000, and was then one of the most active boards on Fan Forum, as far as people have always told me. :) So yes, I'm certain they reached 50 K already once back then, but sadly there's no recollection of that anywhere anymore :)

...I wonder how many posts I made on this board.... :look: :lol:

Thanks, Anja. I had noticed that nothing now on this forum predates 2004, but had had simply assumed that's when the forum had started.

I'm not surprised that YA impressed a lot of people deeply. In the Pratt-Fleming storyline we have something new under the sun -- a quite novel reworking of something very ancient. And hence something very powerful.

I want to extend my congratulations to the Young Americans board for reaching the 50K mark. Well done to the many dedicated fans of the show for keeping the board alive through all this time. Although I never watched an episode for full length, I recognize this milestone being reached, as with all the fans of any show board at Fan Forum! :)

With my workload now I'm really horrible at keeping up with certain boards here, but when I do have the time this is the board I swing by first. It had such a cute little cast and yay for 50k! :woot:
