By FNL, do you mean Friday Night Lights? Has anyone seen This Is Us? It's the new great drama on NBC that they're saying is the best new show on TV. It's getting compared to Parenthood.

Well, the story is about the lives of four different people - Jack, Randall, Kate, and Kevin - who all share the same birthday and are all turning 36 years old at the start of the show.

Jack(Milo Ventimigila) is a man struggling with alcoholism and whose pregnant wife, Rebecca(Mandy Moore), is about to give birth to triplets. But she experiences complications with her pregnancy and they end up losing one of the babies. Randall(Sterling K. Brown) is a successful businessman with a wife and two children, but is still searching for his biological father who abandoned him as an infant and finally tracks him down. Kate(Chrissy Metz) is an overweight woman who is struggling with her self esteem and trying to lose weight by joining a weight loss clinic, and begins dating a man she meets there. And Kevin(Justin Hartley) is Kate's brother, a struggling Hollywood actor on a mediocre television sitcom who decides to quit the show because he feels like he's wasting his career and allowing himself to be degraded as a sex object.

And there's a surprise twist at the end of the first episode that connects all the stories together. Here's the trailer:

That show is going to ruin me and I did not even plan to watch it.
