I havent seen any of the other Superman movies but he's supposed to haveleft earth and is now returning right?

Also can I use this moment to mention how weird I always found it that Superman could just put on a pair of glasses and no one would recognize him whereas all other superheros had to like wear masks and capes and change their voice
