So very true! I was able to see it in english though, because the channel were it was made here had the option to see it in english or spanish.

Much nicer than French and German channels!

I never thought about how English-speaking countries get it so easy (regarding English-speaking TV) than the rest of the world. Must be so frustrating for you guys.

It is very frustrating. First, they need about 2 years until they are able to air it, and when you watch it, you already know most of the voices. I think there are about 10 people that do the dubbing on all 'teenager-shows'. As far as I remember, Dawson had the same voice as Max (from Roswell). That's the only example that comes to my mind right now, but there are several more. It's just stupid

That's just terrible! Hey, this is an interesting question - what did Jake's voice sound like? Did they use a boy or a girl?

They used a girl. She was the voice of Daria (from the MTV show).

It's somehow good to know that the German people are not the only ones doing this

You poor people! It actually sounds pretty traumatising. But Daria as Jake is pretty good... about as good as you can get in that situation, really.

Here in Belgium, they use subtitles. There's not a sane person that would come up with dubbing in Dutch. When I watch a show on a French channel it annoys the hell out of me. Allthough, it can be funny at times too. I've never understood why they dub those shows in France. And even change names and titles.

*cough* Now on topic!

I love this episode! Besides the obvious (the J/H-ness! *squee*) the whole feeling of the cotillion.

Some thoughts:
- Paige was weird and her remark "you're blushing" was odd. So what?! It's summer, it's hot ... Bella looked like she was blushing the whole time!

- Lena was great. and yes, so straightforward.

- Will was a little behind. Who doesn't know the "they're all naked"-thing?! Huh.

- Scout! He looked kinda dumb staring like that.

- There's this extra on the cotillion that has a lot of screentime. She's the one wearing this sort-of-sweater (with flowers on it) above her dress. I once counted how many times she was there. I'd say like 12 times, but can't be sure. I forgot.

- Have you guys noticed that when Will asks Bella to the cotillion, the same woman in the background passes twice?

Maybe I should watch it again ...

Yeah, I thought so too! Was she trying to say she saw Bella and Scout together, or what?

I totally have to watch for the extras when I get the DVD!

I think she saw them. Didn't they jump away from eachother just when she walked up to them?

So I guess Paige was trying to say "I saw you two consorting, Bella you nasty girl."?
