Kinberg reads the message boards. He knows that non-blue Mystique bugs fan. But he also knows that the time suck for the production, and the discomfort to the star is simply not feasible. The costume solves that issue (they only need to do head and hands now, like with Gamora on Guardians for instance), though full-body might still be employed once or twice along the way.

That's my read anyway. But then I was expecting this to be the case, so maybe I'm guilty of confirmation bias.

is that so? I know a lot say or think she's bored in these and call her Borence. But you can't suck up to those online. if you do. You will always be doing some sort of thing.

I imagine her personal make up person does the Raven Make up and no the Mystique one.

You would imagine correctly. The Mystique make-up is a different skill set. It falls under the FX banner, and will be applied by a specific make-up team, who work exclusively with that sort of process.

As I say though, Jen appears to have left Montreal after only three weeks of shooting, so who knows...???

Ian McKellen only was on set for 2 weeks for X2.

There was a stunt woman cast as Jen's stunt double. So I guess Mystique will be fighting more in this one.
