Slapping.
That's a great group photo and the Mother's Day thing. __________________
I've finished my fifth draft of the script with Jen in mind as the lead. It's a comedy called Life As Liz. PM if interested in hearing more about it. Or even possibly reading it.

What's up with this here? Making it a main focal point of their advertising. Who are they advertising this movie toward? Men who hate woman? or Internet fanboys who don't like her? Either way. It's really strange. I mean sure one thing. But to keep using this image is a bit unsettling. No one else is being assaulted. So I just find this really, really odd. Or maybe its just me. :p __________________

I find the strangling pic being used in promotions unsettling too. They probably wanted to show how threatening Apocalypse is but I think they could've used another shot instead, like the one with the disintegrating background or something.

Okay. glad to see i'm not the only one. I said this on another board and they said I was being a bit crazy by saying this. Mainly cause of my feelings towards her.
I would say this if it were any female character really. Yes. #QUEEN. And I can't either! I can't wait for the TV appearances. They should be starting up soon. __________________

There's been a few reactions on twitter since the London press screenings yesterday, all of them positive, but this is the first from a source that I trust...
Ben Cook's a smart guy, and he knows story, so this is encouraging. Quote:
It's about selling the stakes involved, and using the movie's biggest star to do it. In that respect, it's a very effective image. That said, I get how it could be interpreted as you say. There are certainly unfortunate connotations that can be drawn from what is in effect an image of a large man strangling a woman, but I think this is a case of the promoters innocently failing to see any such connotations. Their intentions were just to showcase an arresting image that illustrates the crisis level really quite starkly. __________________

I don't mind it because I don't believe that it is gratuitous. It seems to me that Fox is saying that this event is not only very important but possibly the pivotal moment of the film. That Apocalypse is on the brink of crushing the X-Men and winning everything. I have my guesses about what immediately follows.

BTW Simon Kinberg has apparently confirmed the next X-flick to be set in the 90's. No more info than that, but just FYI.
I'm calling Mutant Massacre and Nathaniel Essex aka. Mr. Sinister. The Onslaught story though, would be great for McAvoy, and Phoenix is sure to factor in there somewhere... Quote:

If McAvoy was as big a star as Lawrence for instance, I suspect they'd have turned Apocalypse beating him around the mansion into a poster. In fact they should have done that anyway... __________________
