How could I forget to mention Effie as part of my fave scenes/moments in Mockingjay part 1 ... thanks to her for bringing a bit of fun air !

In all honesty, and despite the arguments I've been making, if she was getting reviews like this for a non-franchise flick, she'd be a lock for an Oscar nom.

That's such a great review.

All over the place one of the most positive things that I've been seeing is that the surprising part was Jen's song in the movie. And how amazing it was.

For Golden globes (if Jennifer is part of those noms I'll say "If it's me reading the signs this one would be the best for a potential Oscar nom"

This time it's a girl's night. My dad doesn't want to see it again but my sis is dying to see it so it will be the 3 of us.

Exactly. But the Academy feels they don't wanna nominate a "YA" movie because they feel it would soil or cheapen it. Which is BS. if its the best performance or best movie it should be nominated no matter what.

That said, I couldn't back Mockingjay Part. 1 for best movie. As it stands it's an unfinished movie. It's half a story. I very much like what we've gotten so far, but I can't honestly appraise the movie at this juncture...

Hey, has anyone been paying attention to the iTunes Charts. The Hanging Tree is #10 here in Ireland, it's at #20 in the UK, and last I checked it was at #14 in the US.

Maybe Jen can win a Grammy.

Finally saw it, too. It was the best movie of the 3 so far, IMO.
Different (I knew that of course) and yet so good.
Having Effie in the movie was def. a good choice. Added some humor.
They translated the song during the film here in Germany - so no Jen singing for me (except during the credits)
Oh and Hanging Tree is on #11 in Germany.

Mockingjay is comfortably my favourite of the books, and it looks as though Francis Lawrence may have, when all is said and done, made a film that improves upon the source. I can't really make a determination like that without seeing Part. 2, but I'm certainly optimistic.

It's a shame you didn't get to hear Jen sing during the movie, but then the lyrics are important so I suppose it couldn't be helped. Glad you got it during the credits.

It's pretty cool watching it climb the iTunes charts, I would laugh so hard if it started getting radio play. Poor Jen...
