I'm sure he'll do great. I'm not worried that Gary left. I liked the first movie but I don't think Gary is the only one who can get the essence of the book. And imo the directing wasn't that spectacular.

Can't wait who they are going to cast as Finnick.

Yr a lot of people didmt like the way he actually directored it .. I didn't mind it

Yeah that's why he left mainly, cuz he didn't have time. I'd rather have Jenn than Gary

The only part of his directing that bothered me was the extreme shakiness of the camera in the reaping scene and District 12 scene. The blurry shots gave me a head ache the first two times I saw the film.

He was great though. I'm just glad Suzanne works on the screen writing, that's why these movies will be safe imo.

i'm so excited for this movie! really sad gary isn't directing it again, but with jen, josh, etc, i'm sure it'll be just as amazing

and i'm so scared/excited for the casting to be released

most nervous for the finnick casting, i think

^Same I am so nervous to see who plays Finnick. A lot of people want Grant Gustin to play him, but I am just unsure of him.

What does anyone else think?

Also I think Jenn and all of them will be amazing in it, but will the new director be able to capture the movie right? Gary did a good job with what he could work with from book to movie. Even though some things were changed he still made sure to be as good as he could. I just don't want someone else doing Catching Fire and ruin it.

Agreed. I have nothing against Grant I just don't see him as Finnick. Hmm I have never heard of Garret before.

same. he just doesn't really scream FINNICK to me. and garrett, to me, has the finnick look to him.

i think he'd just be perfect.

He does kind of look like who I would picture. They must be under so much pressure for casting.
