Kiane ▮ Synopses X-Men: First Class (2011) Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-MEN. X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class in an epic battle that must change the past - to save our future. X-Men: Apocalypse Set largely in the 1980’s, X-Men: Apocalypse will introduce one of the very first mutants, En Sabah Nur ('The First One') a.k.a. Apocalypse and, according to director Bryan Singer, focus on the very origins of mutation itself. It will also borrow from the comic serial Age of Apocalypse and promises to introduce teenage versions of the original X-Men (Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm) and operate on the scope and scale of a disaster movie. In the words of writer Simon Kinberg: An ‘extinction level event’. X-Men: Apocalypse is due in cinemas May 22nd 2016. ▮ Trailers ▮ Websites IMDB Bryan Singer's Twitter Hugh Jackman's Twitter X-MEN MOVIES Twitter __________________

I love that title and how she said it in the movie.
But a post of mine from the other thread. Now we just gotta wonder how much screen time they will have. I mean will they be taking over the franchise from the First Class or what? I would hope not. I wanna see the First Class cast in more films. __________________

I think we had this title before (though I could be wrong), not that it matters. It's a good one at any rate.

That said, as long as Bryan Singer's involved, the X-Men movies will always return to the Xavier/Magneto divide. So expect to see McAvoy and Fassbender for the foreseeable. Subject obviously, to the actor's continued interest. You can count on Hoult's continued presence as well. Beast is a big part of the X-Men, and will be a team member I suspect once the team is formed in earnest. Where Jennifer might fit in is a little more difficult to discern. Mystique has no allegiance to the X-Men, or to the Brotherhood any longer, so figuring out a role for her is tricky going forward. It's possible then, that her story will continue in solo pictures, with maybe a reduced presence in the main flicks until she intersects more fully with the X-Men again. This would obviously, be dependent on Jennifer as much as anything else. I like this cast BTW. I don't know much about the actress playing Storm, but the other two have impressed me, particularly Sophie in 'Thrones. This is good news. __________________

Yeah it's very much official, according to the news that The Apocalypse will feature Mystique and Magneto relationship building, based on the star power of Jennifer, and Michael being critically acclaimed. This will be part of the movie, besides fighting against the Apocalypse.
I don't know much about those actors they picked for Scott, Storm and Jean. I have no problem with them. All I'm saying is them heading up the next X-Men depends on whether they gain a mainstream audience and they become the talk of the media. If not, I see Fox going forward with standalone/superhero movies for the actors/characters already esteemed, as Mystique, Magneto, Professor, then you have Channing Tatum for Gambit and Ryan Reynolds for Deadpool. I don't think it would be an issue, since they're interested in competing with the likes of Captain America, Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman. |

Of course, I could be wrong. It has been known to happen. Quote:
This is a good cast though, so I don't expect there to be an issue. I don't know much about Alexandra, but Tye has impressed me a few times (particularly in MUD), and Sophie is beyond perfect casting for Jean Grey TBH. If Apocalypse manages to be as good or better than Days' then there won't be any problem. I'm feelin' good about this... __________________
