I liked Garfield as Spidey too, he deserved better.

He's working with Scorsese though, which is more along the lines of what I predicted for him years ago, so he's doing okay.

As did I. Would have liked to see them continue what they set up. So stupid to reboot. They lost all that money from putting stuff into those films.

That 99 homes movie with Michael Shannon looks interesting.

Oh, I don't think it's stupid to reboot. The 'Amazing' movies simply failed to work, even despite some nice stuff that Marc Webb was able to bring when he played to his own sensibilities instead of the studio's. That's what I mean when I say that Garfield deserved better.

Spidey's star though, has been on the descent as a result of Sony's mishandling of the franchise post-Raimi, and dwarfed by the might of The Avengers. Now he gets to play in their world, and hopefully the creative teams at Marvel, who have a far greater understanding of the character and how to tell his story, like Sam Raimi had, will be able to put him back on top, where he belongs.

It does. Andrew's a bloody good actor, one of the best of his generation of British actors, and I'm sure he'll move onwards and upwards.
