i do wish Madge was in the films, because I love the Katniss/Madge friendship.

idk I'll always feel like the mockingjay pin was cheapened because it wasn't given by Madge.

The idea that even the "town power" (since Madge is the Mayors daughter) had the stirrings of rebellion, combined with Madge's aunt being in the Hunger Games... idk there is just more fullness and impact in storyline there.

I agree.
Considering the mockingjay pin orginally belonged to aunt, it has more history.

But is the mockingjay already a symbol of the rebellion? I mean Cinna did make some referance to be quiet about it. Even though I believe Snow saw it during the victory cermony.

It was already the symbol of rebellion (based on the whole creation of them). I always wonder how Maysilee got that pin.

like how are they gonna put in some (imo important scenes) in catching fire when they didn't even mention her in HG

Madge is important in Catching Fire more so

I wonder if Francis will decide to create her?
